Farewell, and thank you –
After more than 26 years of owning and operating the local Merry Maids franchise, I am extremely happy to announce that I am retiring and have sold the business to a wonderful local couple, Victor and Naomi Bellavia. When my late husband Ron and I bought the franchise as a start-up in 1993, we were committed to providing “professional, quality, and affordable house cleaning services with a smile” to Grand Valley residents. In our first year of operation, we beat out dozens of other new Merry Maids offices to win the coveted “Rookie of the Year” award and have grown considerably since then. I credit our continued success first and foremost to our incredibly hard-working, dedicated and veteran staff, along with the mentoring network we have with other Merry Maids owners across the country. (Currently, there are several employees who have been with our local office for more than ten years, and another who is nearing the five-year mark, all of whom are staying on with the new ownership.) While it’s been a true honor and a privilege to have worked alongside our staff to serve you and our many other wonderful clients across the valley, it’s time to turn the reins over to a dynamic and very capable new ownership. I will be staying on for a couple of months to help with the transition, and I hope to personally say goodbye to many of you in the meantime. Thank you all sincerely, from the bottom of my heart, for your loyal patronage over the years –
Elaine Johnson-Craig
